چکیده
The purpose of this study was to assess the effects water storage on surface microhardness (VHN) and fracture toughness (K1C) two self-adhesive restorative materials compared traditional resin composite resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) materials. Methods: Two (Activa Vertise Flow), a nonflowable (Filtek Z250), an RMGIC (Fuji II) were evaluated. Hardness measurements (n = 12) recorded at three time intervals: (i) one-hour post-irradiation; (ii) after one day in 37 °C; (iii) 90 days °C. Fracture conducted °C ANOVA Tukey post hoc tests used for statistical analysis. Results: Baseline VHN data 38.2–58.3, decreasing significantly 28.8–55.6 following storage. Filtek Z250 had highest before storage, while Activa lowest. KIC values varied between 0.98–1.32 MPa·m0.5. value Fuji II showed lowest (after both 1 water). However, decreased except II. Conclusion: Self-adhesive/ion-releasing composites negatively affected by Material reinforcements are possible future areas explore.

Effect of Preheating on the Mechanical Properties of Resin Composites
OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to compare the flexural strength and modulus of two commercial resin composites, at room temperature and 40, 45 and 50 degrees C prior to light polymerization with standard and step-cure protocols. METHODS One nanohybrid (Grandio, VOCO, Cuxhaven, Germany), and microhybrid composite resin (Filtek Z250, 3M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, USA) were used. The material...

BACKGROUND This study compared the storage modulus (E'), the loss modulus (E'') and the loss tangent (tan δ) of various flowable resin composites. MATERIAL AND METHODS Grandio Flow (GRF), GrandioSo Heavy Flow (GHF), Filtek Supreme XTE (XTE) and Filtek Bulk Fill (BUL) flowable resins and Clinpro Sealant (CLI) ultra-flowable pit and fissure sealant resin were used. 25 samples were tested using ...
متن کاملFactors involved in mechanical fatigue degradation of dental resin composites.
The design of clinical trials allows for limited insights into the fatigue processes occurring in resin composites and the factors involved therein. In vitro studies, in contrast, can fundamentally narrow study interests to focus on particular degradation mechanisms and, to date, represent the major contributors to the state of knowledge on the subject. These studies show that microstructural f...

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of 3 commercially available mouth rinses on the color stability of 4 different resin-based composite restorative materials. METHODS Forty disc-shaped specimens (10x2 mm) were prepared from each of the following materials: A nanofill composite Filtek Supreme XT (3M/Espe, St. Paul, MN, USA); a packable low-shrinkage composite, AeliteL...
